Students are back in class after a threatening graffiti message prompted an evacuation Thursday at Fox Lane Middle/High School.
School officials say around 9 a.m., a bomb threat was found scrawled on the bathroom wall of the high school. Bedford Central School District Superintendent Debra Jackson says the threat mentioned a bomb in the middle school. School officials then ordered the evacuation of both buildings.Students were placed on buses while police and the county bomb squad investigated the threat. Nothing was found in the buildings and students were allowed back in classes after about two hours.
A similar incident occurred at the school in January; a middle school student was charged in that case. Police don?t think the two incidents are related.
This latest threat comes on the heels of three similar incidents at Mamaroneck High School this week.
Police and school officials are taking the threats very seriously and say whoever is responsible will face charges.
