School was in session Friday at Kennedy Catholic High School in Somers while police investigated a threat that a student allegedly made on social media several months ago.
State police say a 15-year-old boy posted "I want them all dead" on Kik Messenger, a smartphone app. Authorities say the student was removed as they handled their investigation.
An alert about the message was also sent out to parents.
Father Mark Vaillancourt is the principal at Kennedy Catholic High School, located off Route 138. He says message is not a credible threat to the school.
Police were on school grounds Friday as a safety precaution. No arrests have been made.
