An Orange County school required police presence Friday after a threat was found written in a girl's bathroom.
Officials tell News 12 police were immediately notified after the threat was found at the end of the school day on Thursday.
Woodbury police say the threat was written in a second-floor girl's bathroom stall at Monroe-Woodbury Middle School.
District officials say the note threatened to harm students but is not considered an imminent danger.
Authorities say there will be an increased police presence at the school until Monday as they continue to investigate.
Police say they are looking at students’ handwriting as part of their investigation, but say older teenagers are also at the school for evening and weekend activities.
