Thousands of glowing pumpkins are on display in at the Great Jack O'Lantern Blaze in Croton-on-Hudson.
Before the carved out creatures of ghosts and goblins come out and play, there's a lot of work that needs to be done.
Amy Cotter is creating stars for this year's Pumpkin Planetarium. Cotter and about a dozen other carvers make the blaze come alive, and it is no easy task -- about 1,000 jack-o'-lanterns are created each week.
The more than 7,000 illuminated pumpkins will be on display through Nov. 15.
