Cash was stolen from a nonprofit in New Rochelle earlier this week.
Police say the theft happened while the Fuller Center for Housing of Greater New York City was closed on Monday.
They say an employee arrived on Tuesday and found the hinge locks were broken off and more than $2,000 was missing.
No one has been arrested yet.
