A brazen thief held up a Yonkers bank in broad daylight Monday.
The holdup occurred just after 12:30 p.m. at Citibank, located on Main Street near Buena Vista Avenue in Downtown Yonkers.
Police say a man wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt walked into the bank, handed the teller a note and was given cash.
The suspect escaped before officers could arrive.
The heist is the latest in a series of unrelated bank robberies to hit Yonkers. It is the third bank robbery in the city this month.
Police arrested a teenager in Riverdale who they say robbed a Webster Bank on McLean Avenue at gunpoint Oct. 14. The teen is thought to be same person who robbed a Chase Bank across from the Citibank earlier this month.
