There is plenty to do for kids and adults in the quaint and vibrant village of Larchmont
The quaint and vibrant village of Larchmont is a perfect place for a Road Trip: Close to Home this summer.
Park your car and stay a while, in this beautiful, walkable village.
Since kids come first, let’s get crafty at Creative Corner - a local art studio for the little ones that’s been around for decades.
“If your child is four and over, they can be dropped off. And I keep your kids busy for the hour and being creative,” says Frances Mannix, Owner Creative Corner. Mannix says she help to expand that creative pallet with all the tools and colors of the rainbow.
While walks-ins are welcome, it’s always better to call first and make a reservation.
“We love coming to creative corner we’ve been coming here for years," says Amanda Schosid, parent. “There’s always something that your child will find that they connect you, and that might have some sort of meeting that they can create here in one session.”
The kiddos can pick their favorite item off the wall to make their own.
And one of the best parts is that you get to take a piece of Larchmont home with you that you literally created yourself.
As the little ones brush up on their inner artist, let’s refuel at a local favorite - Sunshine Coffee Roasters!
You’ll be greeted by the warm ambiance, aroma and the baristas ready to brew!
The walls are also adorned with unique paintings by one of Westchester's very own — Dennis Dempsey.
There are also lot of interesting local stores that line the streets in the heart of this lively village.
Shop around or stroll the streets, surrounded by picturesque buildings.
Another stop the kids will also appreciate at Larchmont Manor Park.
This Westchester gem on the Long Island Sound offers views as vast as the eye can see.
There are more than 12 acres at the park and plenty of places to take in the region’s natural beauty.
From handmade artwork earlier to nature’s masterpiece at Manor Park — the adventures are endless in this quaint village.
