News 12's Kristie Reeter is showing us what you can save on at the store this Labor Day weekend.
The past few years it feels like deals have been hard to come by as inflation hits. Could that be changing though?
"Overall inflation in the New York, New Jersey area actually fell about a third of a percent. The food items that fell the most is an unusual collection -- starting with pork sirloin roast on the bone, that is down 68%. Pork prices were very high throughout the year, those have come down. Artichoke prices down 48.4%. Chicken wings, those prepared chicken wings, down 33.4%, chicken wing prices were very high throughout the year. And tangerines down 30%," says Caleb Silver, of Investopedia.
Jen Brogan with Stop & Shop knows times have been hard, which is why they have started a new program to help people save.
Some hacks to try to help you save include signing up for store loyalty programs.
