White Plains Performing Arts Center is kicking off its 20th anniversary season by holding rehearsals for the regional premiere of the musical “The Prom”.
“The Prom,” which is up for seven Tony Awards, is a story of big Broadway personalities on a mission to change the world.
"This show tackles a topic not a lot of people tackle,” said Broadway star Janine LaManna. “And it’s so heartwarming and funny, and it really is a story for everyone - not just for teenagers and parents."
Opening night is Oct.7.
Performances are running Thursdays through Sundays until Oct. 23.
