'The most satisfying feeling.' Westport native returns home after winning silver in Olympics

After an incredible run at the Beijing Winter Olympics, snowboarder and Westport native Julia Marino is back home with some shiny hardware this time around.
The 24-year-old won a silver medal in the women's slopestyle competition. It was the USA's first medal win for the Beijing games.
Marino said there was a lot of pressure on her in her first Olympic games in Pyeongchang, and she didn't medal. This time around, Marino said she was more focused on having fun.
"I was over the moon just to land that run. I mean, it's the first time I've done at-length those tricks in competition ever and it was the most satisfying feeling I've ever felt in my life to be able to do that," Marino says. "I almost was like not even looking at the score. I was just so happy to have landed that, then seeing the score, I was super hyped up there in the podium position."
