Planes, trains, and cars, there are many ways to make it to your holiday destination and of course they all cost money.

AAA is predicting a record 119.3 million people will be traveling 50 miles or more. Some will travel by car, others by plane.

When looking at those ticket costs, AAA found that flights are 4% more expensive this season when you compare it to last year. Finding that the average domestic ticket is costing $830 and international tickets are running $1,630.

To save some money Caleb Silver, editor in chief at Investopedia, says be mindful that, "you can pay a lot more for premium seating and premium flight times."

If you are driving by car, pay attention to gas prices.
