Halloween is right around the corner, and Americans are spending big bucks to celebrate this year.
The National Retail Federation estimates that the country will spend nearly $7 billion to get scared this year.
Other numbers say the average person will spend about $74 this year. As a whole, Americans will shell out $2.1 billion on candy and $2.5 billion on costumes.
The figures actually represent a drop in spending over 2014.
