MWC Barcelona is the first big technology conference in Europe since the pandemic began and will run through July 1. Around 30,000 to 40,000 people are expected to attend, which is less than the more than 100,000 who attended in 2019. A negative COVID-19 test, along with a facemask and a digital badge are required for entry.
  • The first Apple TV Plus subscribers will see their free trials end after 21 months starting in July. Apple first gifted anyone who bought an Apple product one free year of Apple TV Plus and added two extensions during the pandemic. More than half the subscribers are on the free trial and will now have to pay a $4.99 subscription free per month. Apple will also no longer provide a free year of Apple TV Plus, and instead will offer a three-month trial.
