? Mayor Michael Bloomberg (R-NYC) gave a Texas mayor a tour of the Bronx Friday to show him how to create more affordable housing.

Residents starting moving into the 89-unit, mixed income Honeywell Houses on 912 East 178th St. in October. Tenants say they are happy to have clean, safe and less expensive housing in the city. The building also has 24-hour help from on-site nurses. The mayor of Houston said the model brought him to the Bronx to learn how he can improve his city.

The Honeywell Houses are part of Bloomberg?s 10-year plan to create and preserve homes for families.
