One person is safe after being rescued from a partial building collapse in Orange County.

The Port Jervis Fire Department says it happened just before 12:30 a.m. Wednesday at a closed gas station and auto repair shop on West Main Street.

Crews found a side section of the building had pulled away from the main structure and landed partly in a construction hole. Work was already underway at the site.

No injuries were reported, but firefighters helped a tenant evacuate from an apartment above the main part of the building.
