A car pulled over on the Cross County Parkway in Yonkers Wednesday led police to uncover a marijuana farm.
Police made the discovery on the parkway near the entrance ramp for the Saw Mill Parkway. Police say they found 75 to 100 pot plants growing in a cleared area. Nearby they also found and arrested 19-year-olds Ivan Gutierrez and Duane Alvarez and 16-year-old Juan Mejia, all of New Rochelle.
Police are investigating how long the teens were growing the plants. Police say they are glad to have stopped these plants from making it to the streets.
