Teenager pleads guilty in connection to deadly shooting in Yonkers

A Delaware teenager will spend at least nine years in prison for a deadly shooting in Yonkers.
Maliki Johnson, 17, of Dover, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder, according to the Westchester County DA's Office.
Johnson was charged with shooting and killing Javon Merrill, 27, of Yonkers, at the Triangle Deli on Ashburton Avenue in October 2020.
The shooting was captured on video.
Johnson was 15 at the time. He was arrested 10 months later in Dover.
Johnson will be sentenced in May. He's been promised a sentence of nine years to life in state prison.
