A Hudson Valley teen is choosing to do something different with his last summer of freedom.
Aaron Spring, 17, just graduated from Ossining High School and is now running for a seat on the town board.
Spring, who has been active in local Republican politics for years, says he's running to help lower taxes and help make Ossining a better place to live. "It's a sacrifice I'm willing to make. I'm willing to sacrifice fun in order to participate in government," says Spring.
If he wins, Spring would be the youngest elected official in the town's history.
This fall he says he'll divide his time between campaigning for office and taking classes at Fordham University, where he will be majoring in law and business.
