Teen regains consciousness after late‑night pedestrian crash in Rockland County

A teen pedestrian was taken to the hospital after being struck by a vehicle Wednesday night in Rockland County.

The crash happened after 9 p.m. at the intersection of Carlton Road West and College Road in Ramapo, police say.

Authorities say the 19-year-old lost consciousness at the scene but regained consciousness while being transported in an ambulance.

Police say the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with officers.

Officials say they will release additional information as it becomes available.
