Metro-North officials say a teen was fatally struck by a train in the Bronx Monday night.
MTA officials say the teen was trespassing on the tracks and was killed around 3:30 p.m. at the Botanical Garden station, near the New York Botanical Garden.
Police have not released the victim's name, but Fordham Preparatory School officials have confirmed that he was a student at the school.
The victim is the second Fordham Preparatory School student killed by a train in the past two weeks. On Jan. 18, sophomore Owen Kelly, 16, of Sleepy Hollow, walked in front of a train and was fatally struck near the Philipse Manor station.
