A taxi driver in Spring Valley was robbed Sunday night by three male suspects – one of whom is in custody, police say.
Police responded to the scene at Spring Valley Memorial Park around 7 p.m. Officers found the driver who said he picked up the three males - one of which brandished a knife.
“The males relieved the driver of his phone, and a large sum of United States currency. One of the suspects did injure a third party attempting to intervene by cutting him with the knife," said the Spring Valley police.

That person is in stable condition, according to police.
People who work with the taxi service tell News 12 other taxi drivers came to help Sunday when they heard what was happening through their radio system.
"Because we do run 24/7, there has to be a 24/7 communication. The dispatcher heard, she put a call out to police. With that help of the radio, all the other drivers went and intervened, as much as they could," says Josclin Tenelema, who works with the taxi service.
News 12 was told the taxi driver is OK.
During the initial police investigation, a 13-year-old Spring Valley resident was identified, arrested and charged with robbery. The two other suspects are still at large.
