One of the Hudson Valley’s largest medical conglomerates is experiencing “system issues” impacting their services to patients.
Crystal Run Healthcare shared the “system interruption alert” on their website last Friday noting, “We are currently experiencing system issues impacting some of our services. We are working diligently to resolve these issues and appreciate your patience.”
The medical practice has 30 locations in the Hudson Valley and Catskill regions with roughly 400 providers, up to 5,000 employees and 400,000 patients, according to their websites.
News 12 reached out to Crystal Run on Monday about the service issue but did not hear back. We reached out to Optum, the company that bought the practice in February, on Thursday and are waiting to hear back.
According to the company’s website, patients may experience longer than usual wait times as a result.
It’s unclear what, if any, information may have been compromised or if it was a cyberattack.
A nurse with Crystal Run Healthcare reached out to News 12 anonymously and said that she is home unpaid because of the system issues.
The disruption is among a series of similar system issues recently experienced in the Hudson Valley. SUNY Orange reported a "computer disruption" in October and a possible cyberattack disrupted Aizer Health in Kyras Joel in September.
