Swim Across America, which raises money for cancer research, returned to Larchmont on Saturday for its 30th year.
This year was the biggest one yet with 500 swimmers making up 55 teams. The event’s goal was to raise more than $1.5M.
"We're raising money for cancer and everybody here comes together to fight it,” said event director Anthony Tony-Sibior. “That's the great thing about it. We have teams. We have families. It's just a wonderful thing."
The beneficiaries include three labs at Memorial Sloan Kettering and Cancer Support Team.
