New surveillance video shows a suspect stealing over $35,000 worth of cash and jewelry from a Bronx church.
The incident happened on Oct. 17 at around 2 a.m at the Eternal Sacred Order of Cherubim and Seraphim Church in Mount Eden.
The video shows the suspect coming out of a side door with a carriage full of black garbage bags filled to the brim with crosses, money, tools and personal items of clothes and jewelry that belonged to the church's bishop and his family.
Bishop Philip Aina says although police say the items are worth about $35,000, the total value could actually be over $60,000.
Bishop Aina says that it appeared the suspect knew how to break into the church by breaking through the back door.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
