A man wanted for robberies throughout Westchester was captured in Rye when someone saw the suspect trying to break into a car. Police say Michael Carpinello also broke into cars in Port Chester and Harrison

A man wanted for robberies throughout Westchester was captured in Rye when someone saw the suspect trying to break into a car.
Police say Michael Carpinello also broke into cars in Port Chester and Harrison to steal high-end items. Authorities raided Carpinello?s Port Chester home, which he shares with his wife and children, at 211 Madison Ave. Police say they seized thousands of dollars worth of allegedly stolen property. Carpinello faces charges of criminal possession of stolen property, reckless endangerment and DUI.
Neighbors expressed shock over the accusations. One woman says Carpinello was the only person on the block she trusted to watch her kids.
