A new member of the Yorktown Town Board was sworn in on Thursday.
Susan Siegel, a Democrat, joins the board after winning a special election in July.
The seat was left vacant after Ed Lachterman was elected supervisor in April. Siegel is a former town supervisor and councilwoman who will serve through the end of 2027.
