Yonkers police are hoping that surveillance video will help them catch a man who robbed a gas station store this weekend.
Station employee James O'Reilly says the customer that walked into the Shell gas station on Executive Boulevard on Sunday morning was odd. "The customer came in, he had a scarf around his face. I asked him to remove it, for security reasons. I'm not going to help someone with something covering their face. That's when he came back behind the counter and attempted to rob me," says O'Reilly.
Police say the man was not be able to get any money, but stole a pack of cigarettes and a Red Bull energy drink. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male between 5'8" to 6' tall.
Detectives say there has been a string of station robberies in past three weeks, and they are looking into whether they may be the work of one person.
