Surge in COVID-19 prompts state of emergency in Middletown

As part of the declaration, the city will be supplied rapid self-tests for workers experiencing COVID-19 symptoms.

Rising cases of COVID-19 in Orange County have led Middletown's mayor to declare a state of emergency.
It will be in effect for one month until Feb. 4.
As part of the declaration, the city will be supplied rapid self-tests for workers experiencing COVID-19 symptoms.
The mayor will be able to request self-tests for city employees.
