Here’s what you need to know:

• It's another cool and cozy start to the day under a mostly clear sky. Temperatures are in the low to mid 60s.

• Today will be another beautiful day with plenty of sunshine and warm temperatures in the upper 70s, near 80 degrees.

• The dry stretch continues through Thursday with Fall-like temperatures in the 70s.

• A cold front will bring scattered showers and potential storms to the city Thursday night into early Friday. The timing is likely after 11 p.m. -3 a.m. Flooding/severe weather is unlikely with this storm. Friday is trending drier, warmer, muggy and breezy.

• A secondary front will move into our area Saturday evening bringing chances of showers and storms. It will be warm and humid with highs in the 80s on Saturday ahead of the rain. It's still too early to tell if there's a risk of severe weather or flooding risk. Stay tuned for updates!

• We're still under abnormally dry to moderate drought over parts of the city. If this current drought continues through the Fall season, this will impact the foliage vibrant colors and shorten the foliage season. We'll continue to monitor drought conditions over the next few weeks and keep you up to date.

• Temperatures will nosedive to the low to mid 70s on Sunday through next week. Overnight low temperatures will be in the mid to upper 50s.

• TRACKING THE TROPICS: There's a tropical wave off the coast of Africa that has a high chance of development in the Atlantic by the end of this week and become a tropical depression. Stay tuned for updates!
