Summer Shorts Film Fest returns to New Paltz with 58 films

A film festival spotlighting short-form storytelling kicks off Friday in New Paltz, with more than 50 films set to screen over three days.
Director J.J. Kandel joined News 12 today to talk about the Denizen Summer Shorts Film Festival, now in its third year and running from Aug. 1 to Aug. 3.
The festival features 58 short films curated into six themed blocks, including “For Locals' Sake,” “For Art’s Sake,” “For Kids’ Sake,” and “For Money’s Sake.”
Special events include an animation workshop and a panel on the art of the interview.
