A group of Greenburgh summer interns has made asylum seekers the focus of their lobbying project.
The town hall interns are working to clear misconceptions about migrants, while also trying to improve their quality of life. They're advocating for better meals for them and a shortening of the 180-day period they must wait before being allowed to work.
The students are hosting a food drive on Friday, Saturday and Monday at Ardsley High School.
They'll be collecting canned goods and non-perishable items they hope will provide food for four months.
