Suffolk police are looking for a driver who crashed into a backyard in Central Islip 

According to police, a driver lost control of a car, the vehicle hit the curb, went through a fence and caused damage to the pool deck and backyard.

Suffolk County police are investigating the hit-and-run crash that caused property damage to a home on East Chestnut Street in Central Islip.
They say it happened on March 13 at 5:16 p.m.
According to police, a driver lost control of a car, the vehicle hit the curb, went through a fence and caused damage to the pool deck and backyard.
News 12 is told the driver fled the scene before police arrived.
“He come out. Take all his stuff. Come back again, grabbed his cellphone. He ran to another car and that was it,” said Alexander Feliciano, a neighbor.
Police say no one was seriously injured, and no one has been arrested yet.
