New reports say Suffolk's Child Protective Services is launching an investigation into what, if anything, Daniel Schuler knew about his wife's alleged drinking problem before she crashed on the Taconic State Parkway.
According to Newsday, Child Protective Services wants to ensure the sole survivor of the fiery crash, 5-year-old Bryan, is safe in his father's care.
Following a toxicology report stating Diane Schuler was drunk and high at the time of the crash, authorities want to know if her husband knew she would start drinking or smoking before she began to drive with five kids in her minivan.
