A COVID-19 vaccine may provide some protection against long-Covid-19 symptoms, according to researchers at the VA St. Louis Health Care System.

Researchers analyzed cases of breakthrough infections among veterans in their health care system with symptoms lingering for at least six months.

The patients were compared with unvaccinated COVID-19 cases and those who didn't get the virus.

COVID-19 COVERAGE

Researchers found those vaccinated were less likely to have COVID-19 symptoms six months after their initial infection.

Researchers also found that those who got the Johnson & Johnson vaccine were more at-risk for long-COVID than those who got the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines.
