People are now allowed to dine at their favorite restaurants in the Hudson Valley - as long as it's outside.
People in Nyack were out eating and taking advantage of the beautiful weather Tuesday.
Restaurant owners throughout Rockland tell News 12 tables will be kept at least six 6 apart and will be thoroughly cleaned.
At many places, customers will have the option to read menus off of their phones.
Face masks will be required when you are not eating and drinking.
After months of not serving customers at his restaurant, Vinnie Cuccia of Strawberry Place says he's happy to see people chomping at the bit to get a seat.

"We opened up at 8 a.m. and we had three tables waiting at 7:30 a.m. waiting for us to open. So it was a really nice feeling," he says.

Down the street, Art Café welcomed customers back into its outdoor space too.

Marcello's restaurant in the Village of Suffern says it is fully booked for Tuesday night.

But to serve outdoors for the first time ever in 34 years, local officials helped turn its sidewalk into a patio by turning parking spots into a new walkway.

"We need to start up Suffern. We need to energize the economy. We need to have people coming back into the village. Utilizing and eating at our restaurants and shopping in our downtown," says Village of Suffern Mayor Ed Markunas.
