Rep. Nita Lowey endorses former NYC Mayor Bloomberg for president

Rep. Nita Lowey says she is endorsing former New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg for president one day after he participated at the ninth Democratic debate in Las Vegas.
The Bloomberg campaign said three members of Congress are now endorsing him, including Lowey.
In a statement, Lowey praised his leadership, support for progressive causes and his commitment to repair the U.S. reputation abroad.
Lowey said in part: “After four years of the damage Donald Trump has inflicted on our nation, we need someone who knows how to get things done from day one in the Oval Office.”
Bloomberg has reportedly spent a record breaking $400 million in the months since he declared his candidacy in the Democratic presidential race. So far, that money appears to be paying off.
He is rising in the polls and steadily collecting other high-profile officials to vouch for him, including Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano.
