Police: Pleasant Valley woman killed by 2 of her pet dogs

A Pleasant Valley woman is dead after an alleged attack by two of her dogs.
State police says 67-year-old Arlene Renna was found unconscious on her living room floor by her husband at their home on Barkit Kenney Road.

An investigation found her wounds were caused by two coonhounds the couple had as pets. Police say she died at the scene as a result of the injuries.

Both dogs were secured by the Dutchess County SPCA.

Police say nobody else was home at the time of the attack and no foul play is suspected.

A judge will determine what will happen to the dogs.
