Reunited: Stolen dog returns home

A dog snatched from a car on Valentine's Day has been reunited with his owner.
Oliver the Shorkie, who was taken from a car in a Scarsdale shopping center on Feb. 14, is back with owner Steve Carino.
A woman was approached to buy the dog and took a photo of the animal sitting in a car. She was mulling it over when, while at work, she saw a dog on News 12 that looked similar.
The woman sent the photo to Carino. Oliver had been photographed in a stolen car. Mount Vernon police were tracking the vehicle, but there was no sign of the dog. Carino camped out in this neighborhood and police helped search.
Then, Walaa Ismail's husband saw Oliver loose on the street. The couple took him in, gave him a bath and food, knowing he belonged to someone. Walaa saw fliers and called Carino, eventually returning Oliver to him.
