The Hudson Valley will enjoy a stretch of relatively quiet and pleasant weather over the next couple of days.
Expect dry conditions through Saturday, with seasonable temperatures and no significant weather concerns. It’s a good opportunity to get outside or take care of weekend plans before colder air moves in.
Late Saturday night into Sunday, a cold front will pass through the region. This will bring scattered snow showers on Sunday. While most areas will see little to no accumulation, some spots — especially higher elevations — could pick up a coating to around an inch. No weather advisories are expected at this time.
Colder air settles in Sunday night and sticks around through Monday. Overnight wind chills could drop into the single digits, and Monday’s highs will likely remain in the 20s across much of the Hudson Valley. It will feel noticeably colder compared to the start of the weekend.
Looking ahead to next week, several weak storm systems may pass near the region from Monday through Thursday. These could bring occasional chances for light precipitation, including a possible rain/snow mix Tuesday into Wednesday and periods of rain later Wednesday night into Thursday. At this point, little to no impact is expected locally.
