A storm system is expected to bring multiple inches of snowfall throughout the region. Ranges being 6-9 inches for areas north of Westchester. Westchester County could see anywhere from 4-8 inches. The snow is anticipated to start around 1 p.m. on Sunday and will continue until the overnight hours.
If you are traveling, be prepared for conditions to be poor, especially on the roads. Following the snow, another blast of bitter cold air, the coldest of the season so far, is expected through the week. Temperatures in the teens and low 20s, with feel-like temperatures in the single digits near zero or below. So be prepared for pipe bursting cold next week.
OVERNIGHT: Mostly cloudy, cold and dry. Lows in the low 30s.
SUNDAY: Dry start, snow beginning in the afternoon. Steady snowfall with periods of heavy snow in the evening. Highs in the middle 30s. Lows in the teens.
MONDAY: Sunny, very cold and breezy. Highs in the middle 20s. Lows in the single digits.
TUESDAY: Very cold, sun and clouds with afternoon flurries possible. Highs in the teens. Lows in the single digits.
WEDNESDAY: Still very cold, sun and clouds and dry. Highs in the teens. Lows in the single digits.
