It is going to be a wet start to the week across the lower Hudson Valley. The rain from this past weekend, today and tomorrow will help the current drought a little more but will impact outdoor plans.
Periods of rain can contain a downpour and a rumble of thunder at any point this afternoon through Tuesday. There will be some dry time mixed in where it is just cloudy, breezy and seasonable with high temperatures in the 60s. While significant flooding is unlikely, scattered large puddles will be around through Tuesday. Additional rain amounts today and tomorrow will range from around 1.0 inch to 2.5 inches.
While there can be a spotty light shower around from time to time on Wednesday, much of the day should be dry and variably cloudy with highs in the upper 60s to low 70s. Thursday looks like a day with more clouds than sun, but overall dry with highs in the 60s.
Friday will feature another chance for steady rain showers ahead of what should be a decent weekend. There is the chance for a shower on Saturday, but Mother's Day Sunday looks amazing with sunshine and high temperatures in the 70s.
