Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Julian Seawright says to expect very poor weather conditions tonight. Flooding and wind damage is likely overnight into the Monday AM.
- Heavy rain will come after dinner and continue throughout the night into Monday AM.
- There will be a slight shift in the latest guidance. Heavy rain amounts are possible to areas further north like Orange, Putnam, Dutchess & Ulster counties.
- Winds will pick up around 10 p.m. Expect gusts up to 40 mph early Monday morning.
- Monday PM will be cleared of rain but breezy winds will stick around.
OVERNIGHT: Heavy rain continues, and wind picks up. Sustained winds 15-25 mph with gusts up to 40.
MONDAY: Rain ends around sunrise with stray snowflakes. Windy from the WNW at 20-30 mph with gusts up to 40.
TUESDAY: Cold in the morning with clear skies sin the afternoon. Highs in the low to mid 40s, feels like 30s. Winds from the WNW at 10-20 MPH.
WEDNESDAY: A mix of clouds and sun. A few snowflakes possible late in the day. Chilly and breezy with highs in the low 40s, feels like 30s.
