Dry start to the day, rain moves in this afternoon

Dry earlier today with a chance for a shower later into the afternoon. but a dry Election Day is expected on Tuesday.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
A system passes by to the south of the Hudson Valley today, but tosses rain showers our way for the second half of the day.
After it passes, a cold front passes by overnight, cooling the temps a little but picking up the winds a lot for Election Day on Tuesday.
Two more rain chances move in this week: Wednesday night into Thursday & Friday night into Saturday.
Both will lead to scattered showers for the region.
Temps will hang near normal levels through much of this week, but a cool down is in sight for next week.
