Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Matt Hammer says there will be periods of snow, rain and sleet. He says the snow will end Friday night.
NEXT: A mix of snow north and rain south continues through Friday, leading to wet roads south and dangerous travel north - especially in Orange and Ulster counties. It will turn windy into tomorrow, which could cause numerous power outages. Highest power outage numbers will be in areas seeing wet snow, weighing on trees and power lines. There will be gusty winds at the coast up to 50 mph, coastal flooding at high tides and coastal erosion due to onshore winds.
A winter weather advisory is in place for Orange and Eastern Ulster counties.
A winter storm warning is in effect for Sullivan and western Ulster counties.
