Dozens of roads were closed Wednesday around Yonkers because of the overnight storm.
Most roads were closed off because of downed trees and power lines. Authorities say one area that was particularly hit hard was just to the east of Central Avenue near Tuckahoe Road.
Many families were forced to get around on foot.
