The weather across the Hudson Valley on Sunday caused thousands of outages.
It also caused a road closure after a tree fell onto electricity wires and broke a utility pole on Buena Vista Road in New City.
Utility crews removed the tree and power was restored after a few hours.
A downed tree also forced police to temporarily shut down Sprain Road in Scarsdale.
