Christmas is just a few days away, and many people are either scrambling to find those last-minute gifts or getting ready to leave town.
The good news is that a lot of stores across the Hudson Valley are open 24 hours for last-second shoppers. Many of the stores will be open until 6 p.m. tomorrow.
With rain expected over the next two days, roads may be messy for shoppers and for those traveling this holiday.
According to AAA, more than more than 98 million Americans will be traveling 50 miles or more this Christmas, which is an increase of 4 percent from last year. The travel experts say the increase is partly to the lower gas prices. The national average for the price of gas is $2.54 per gallon, and it was $3.23 a year ago.
