299ds agoHundreds of turkeys were donated in Nanuet Tuesday to help families this Thanksgiving - with help by two former New York Giants. Stephen Baker and Joe Morris joined a dozen Stop & Shop employees for the second year in a row to deliver 500 turkeys to the Food Bank of the Hudson Valley in Orange County.
The Food Bank of the Hudson Valley says it provides emergency food assistance to 23% more people than 2021, with more than 370,000 individuals relying on distributions from them annually.
Stop & Shop says it is donating 25,000 turkeys this month to food banks and pantries throughout five states in the Northeast as part of its yearly "Turkey Express" program.
