A citywide initiative that aims to help change the public's perception of police is starting to catch on.
The Stop and Shake program is described as a simple gesture that can make a world of difference to police and the people they serve and protect.
An event to bring the community and police together was held Thursday at the Will Library in Yonkers.
Yonkers police will be holding another Stop and Shake event at the Riverfront Library on April 15.
