One account of the horrific events in Paris is coming from a Stony Point native who was in the packed soccer stadium Friday night.
Conrad Swietek was in attendance at Friday's France vs. Germany soccer game, as two loud explosions echoed through the stadium.
The Northeastern University senior says he was celebrating the tail end of his semester abroad, unaware of the carnage taking place outside the venue.
"By the time of the third (explosion), people had started to get texts and messages from friends and family, and were seeing online that there were shootings in other parts of Paris," Swietek said.
The 20-year-old was able to briefly text his parents to let them know he was OK.
